"Les Olivettes, is a charming house to rent in Uzes for Holiday in this fabulous region. The house is beautifully furnished and well equipped. It was a family home built in 1980's with views across the small valley of Redounet. The property is set in a delightful olive grove in a peaceful park with over 4 acres of grounds. The area is outstanding just outside of Uzès and a 20 minute stroll along a quiet country lane take you straight into the historic center of the town.
The property has a main house with 5 bedrooms and a mazet (small stone house).
The mazet is rentable all over the year and the bed and breakfast also.
Uzès, is a town well worth exploring , full of historic and cultural marvells. It's also a place where gastronomy is very important with a wonderful choice of french and international cuisine. For sports enthusiasts, there is plenty to do such a walking along the "Gorges du Gardon" (a Unesco world heritage site), or canoeing down the gardon river under the famous "Pont du Gard" or why not try horse riding in the Garrigue or hike bikes and follow one of the many on and off road cycling trails.
You can also visit Uzès on foot with a guided tour. The tourist Office regularly organises visits of the historic centre.
The Wednesday or Saturday markets are famous for thir variety of wonderful fresh and local produce which attracts food and wine lovers from far and wide. You can visit a local truffle frm, a snail farm or why not visit one of the many local vineyards for a wine tasting.
In one word don't hesitate to visit Uzès, one of the best place in France.
